The author, Mark Lynas, was in the final negociation room. He describes, in an article published by guardian.co.uk, how the Chinese negociators insisted on removing any ambitious target from the agreement : "The truth is this: China wrecked the talks, intentionally humiliated Barack Obama, and insisted on an awful "deal" so western leaders would walk away carrying the blame"
